Doubles Cognac Casks
Single malt whisky and cognac have a rich history. They are made in a similar way but differ in ingredients – one is made from malted barley and the other from grapes. In this meeting we see the coming together of two valued spirits.
High Coast Doubles – Cognac Casks have been matured in twenty years old cognac casks of French oak from the forests of Limousin. After the casks arrived on the High Coast, some of them were bound into smaller casks by Thorslundkagge for deeper interaction between oak and spirit. The casks were filled with our whisky matured on Bourbon barrels. Over the years the spicy character of the cognac casks has married with the sweetness of the bourbon matured whisky.
