The Rum casks are bound from American white oak (Quercus alba) and have been used to store Bourbon once before they ended up in Jamaica and were used there for at least 10 years before coming to us.

On September 2, 2022, 2,230 kilos of whisky were emptied from 24 casks with an average alcohol content of 63.7% into the mixing tank. In connection with bottling, 641.7 liters of water were added to end up at the predetermined alcohol content of 50.9% alc. /vol. On September 13, a total of 6,179 bottles were bottled.

Doubles – Rum casks consist of 100% unpeated whisky. that has matured in Bourbon barrels (200 litres) for 4.68-4.69 years and then moved over and matured in quarter casks (120 litres). The whisky has spent as much time in Rum casks as in Bourbon casks. Which gives a total age of 9.37 years.

For Doubles – Rum Casks, we have used bourbon casks that were shipped to Jamaica to store rum. After many years in a tropical climate, the casks were emptied and shipped to the High Coast and our warehouses, one of the most extreme climate zones in the world of whisky.
