 From Bålsjön, filtered through sand and carbon filters

A Bourbon barrel of 200 liters and two quarter casks of approximately 130 liters filled in the spring of 2012. A few years later, two barrels of Virgin American oak were filled with 

51.8% of the whisky is matured in Virgin American oak.

100% unpeated whisky aged in Bourbon barrels and Virgin American oak.

For our festival bottlings, we carefully select some of our best casks. The recipe for this year's festival bottling consists of unpeated whisky that matured 12 years in Bourbon and Virgin American oak barrels. The Festival 2024, like all High Coast bottlings, is neither coloured nor chill-filtered. We recommend that The Festival 2024 be allowed to sit in the glass for a while to open up. Feel free to add a couple of drops of water to enhance the scents in the glass.
