The Festival 2016
The festival releases are characterized as cask intensive whisky with a lot of power and character. They have become some of the distillery’s most sought after and talked about releases. The Festival 2016 is the third edition in the series of festival bottlings.
The Festival 2016 is, unlike Festival 2015, 100% unpeated. The whisky is matured in Bourbon barrels and then finished in new oak barrels just like their festival counterparts. This edition, however, ‘comes home’ to its Swedish nature. The final finish has taken place in new Swedish oak barrels that have been heat treated unusually intensively. A cask intensive and exciting bottling that gives the Festival series another stand out member.
