The Archipelago 2018
The fourth edition of the Archipelago series for the Viking Line Whisky Fair continues on the smoky theme that has been characterised the series. In Archipelago 2018, the American oak has also played a role. At just over five years old, the whisky has matured entirely in new American oak barrels.
This is basically a smoky variant of the celebrated The Festival 2017. The 90 liter American oak casks are filled with peated Pilsner malt spirit with a phenol content of 44 ppm. Like the other bottlings in the Archipelago series, the 2018 edition is very limited and is only sold by Viking Line.
The Archipelago 2018 contains no artificial colouring and is non chill-filtered.
