The First Ten Years

In 2011 when we filled the barrels for this whisky it felt like an eternity before it would turn 10 years. The history had just begun for the distillery with hope, ambition and a huge belief in the future.
Now, our first ten years has passed by. A significant time for our distillery, but no more than a blink of an eye for our surroundings.

Every season have made it’s mark. Every cold winters day and every never ending summer night with the sun refusing to settle over the river. Shifts in temperature that have forced the whisky in and out of the oak to get it’s character.

This whisky is our first ten years, bottled. Ambition, knowledge, environment and ten years of time.

  • 100% unpeated whisky.

    First cut point:
    Unpeated spirit: 13 minuter head (foreshots)

    Second cut:
    Unpeated spirit: 67 % ABV (20°C)

  • Yeast: Fermentis Safwhisky M-1

    Unpeated malt: Pilsner malt from Vikingmalt in Halmstad.

    Process water: From Bålsjön, filtered through sand and carbon filters

    Cooling water: From Ångermanälven

    Included batches: 40B-53A, 82B-88A

    Batch size 1200kg malt

    Average fermentation time: 80 hours in stainless steels washbacks

  • Strength ABV (alcohol by volume): 52 % ABV
    Age: 10 år
    Phenol content PPM: 0 ppm
    Cask: Bourbon and Pedro Ximénez
    Number of Bottles: 2 088 st
