 From Bålsjön, filtered through sand and carbon filters

The 200 liter Bourbon barrels were delivered freshly emptied from Kentucky. The casks have been stored in a damp warehouse until October 2014 and lost some of their alcohol strength. From October 2014 until bottling, the barrels have been stored in a drier environment in warehouse number 3.

The American oak was not completely emptied, only 81 liters were drawn to achieve the predetermined recipe where the cask would contribute exactly 15% to the blend.

2022-03-01 490 kg of whisky was emptied into the blending tank and the alcohol content was adjusted to a predetermined 51.2% in connection to bottling.

To capture the character of spring, unpeated whisky matured in Bourbon barrels has been mixed with peated whisky matured in American oak casks.

85% of the included whisky is unpeated and matured in Bourbon barrels for 8.74 years.

15% of included whisky is peated, 45 ppm, matured in American oak for 7.04 years.

Together with Måns Zelmerlöw and Alexander Wiberg from the lifestyle show Chevaleresk, we have created a whisky series based on the four seasons. The first whisky in the series draws inspiration from spring, and has been named Primavera, which means spring in Italian.
