The Archipelago 2017
Even the third edition of the Archipelago series is a really smoky whisky. As usual, presented exclusively onboard Viking Line’s whisky boat Cinderella in February 2017. 100% peated whisky finished in barrels of air-dried American oak.
This time, we have let the label be inspired by the first Swedish malt whisky; Skeppets Whisky. Like the Skeppets Whisky, Archipelago 2017 is very smoky but thats where all comparisons end. Where the old Skeppets whisky was rejected for its hearty acid smoke flavour, Archipelago is appreciated for its complex and characteristic smoky tone. A really enjoyable peatiness with sweetness and vanilla from the American oak.
The Archipelago contains no artificial colouring and is non chill-filtered.
